A recent body of work is benches. Some are little, quick, portable museum benches; some fine furniture; some dabble in whimsy.  All explore the design-maker process in a variety of woods.  All represent a social idealist theme that we should converse more, with each other, with art, with nature or the birds in a park. 

I curated an exhibition of 13 Northern California artists, creating original benches, titled Bench Press-please be seated please for Turtle Bay Exploration Park in 2020.
